The work begins where I don’t know, the work becomes my way of understanding.
Intrigued by the human condition, I am deeply curious about our shared duality and the integration of our conflicts and experiences in our consciousness….. the ‘space between the space’ or negative space , becomes a symbolic language of what lies within and beyond our perceived reality and awareness.
Abstraction, materiality and space are the building blocks of my work. The process is both instinctual and intuitive. I cut directly into the work, to remove the superfluous, and invite associations and integrations of the raw qualities to become the work …in a process of material transformation.
